Midvaal Local Municipality is seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Worker to join our Purification Section. If you are a self-disciplined individual with a passion for physical work and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment, this opportunity is for you!
Key Requirements
- Minimum Qualification: Grade 10 (Grade 12 is an added advantage).
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license (added advantage).
- Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (must be bilingual).
- Ability to follow and execute instructions effectively.
- Basic knowledge and skills in physical labor.
- Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in general work related to the Purification Section within a Local Government Authority.
- Physical Fitness: Good physical health to perform labor-intensive tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Load and off-load materials and equipment using protective gear and safety tools.
- Set up traffic signs to warn motorists of ongoing work near municipal roads.
- Maintain cleanliness in and around the work area using brooms and manual labor tools.
- Perform labor-related tasks as directed by the supervisor or superintendent.
- Execute all lawful instructions to ensure productivity and smooth operations.
- Assist with any additional ad hoc tasks as required by management.
