Minimum Qualifications & Requirements: City of Ekurhuleni Learnership

  • Matric / Grade 12 (or equivalent qualification)
  • South African citizen
  • Resident of Ekurhuleni (proof of residence required)
  • Computer literate
  • Strong communication & customer service skills
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Core Responsibilities: Training

  • Work under the employer’s supervision as part of the learnership.
  • Attend and participate in all learning and work experience requirements.
  • Adhere to workplace policies and procedures.
  • Complete timesheets and written assessments as required.
  • Participate in theoretical training sessions provided by the training provider.

Core Responsibilities: Placement

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally.
  • Assist customers with queries, orders, and problem resolution.
  • Capture and update customer details accurately in the system.
  • Follow up on unresolved customer inquiries for timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve call handling efficiency.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Additional Information:

  • Successful applicants must sign a learnership agreement with the relevant SETA and the City of Ekurhuleni.

  • Applicants may only apply for ONE category.
  • Applicants MUST NOT be active on the CoE HR System when the program starts.
  • If no feedback is received within 8 weeks after the closing date, consider the application unsuccessful.
