So, what’s the deal? Basically, this isn’t just a boring classroom snooze-fest. It’s a full-on, hands-dirty, earn-while-you-learn situation in the construction world. BoTong Civils, AGSA, and CETA are the brains behind it, and they’re all about getting young South Africans—yeah, that’s you—skilled up for real jobs or even running your own show someday.
Perks? Oh, there are advantages. Free training. Real work experience (none of that “fetch me coffee” nonsense). Plus, they actually pay you a monthly stipend—as long as you show up and do the work.
Pick your path: CETA SANRAL Learnership 2025
- Construction Contracting (NQF Level 2): Just starting out? This is the basic stuff.
- Building and Construction (NQF Level 3): Got some skills? This one’ll level you up.
- Supervision of Construction Processes (NQF Level 4): Eyeing a boss role? You learn to manage things and lead crews here.
Are you even eligible though? The checklist is as follows:
- Age: 18–35. Sorry, no kids or old-timers.
- Paperwork: Updated CV, certified Matric certificate or Grade 11 report (from the last 3 months), certified SA ID (same 3-month rule).
- Bonus points if you actually live in Mnquma.
- If you’ve got a disability? They’re genuinely keen for you to apply. No empty talk.

But why bother, right? Here’s the thing—construction’s always hiring in SA, and with SANRAL and CETA in your corner, you’re not just learning, you’re actually setting yourself up for something solid. Also, it’s all part of the government’s overall push for real growth and jobs, especially in places people usually don’t think about. Therefore, get the word out if you know anyone who has been complaining about not being able to find work, or perhaps you yourself. Or just take the shot yourself.
