What You’ll Be Doing: Call Centre Agent

As a key member of our team, you’ll be the first point of contact for our valued customers, ensuring their inquiries, store card applications, correspondence, and employment verifications are handled efficiently and professionally. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing Exceptional Customer Service: Addressing customer queries, correspondence, and needs promptly to ensure satisfaction and minimize backlogs and complaints. You’ll be the friendly voice of Mr Price, dedicated to resolving issues and exceeding expectations.
  • Verifying Customer Information: Telephonically confirming employment and personal details provided on store application forms, ensuring accuracy and security.
  • Maintaining Accurate Records: Updating customer details on relevant Debtor’s systems to ensure an up-to-date and accurate customer database.
  • Processing Store Card Applications (Outbound Agents): Proactively processing store card applications across all divisions to expand our customer and credit base.

What We’re Looking For: Call Centre Agent

We’re seeking individuals who are motivated, customer-focused, and possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: Grade 12
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 1 year of call centre experience (preferably in new accounts).
    • Accounts applications processing experience is advantageous.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Strong understanding of relevant industry legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act, POPI (Protection of Personal Information Act), National Credit Act, and ICASA (Independent Communications Authority of South Africa).
    • Excellent communication skills with clear and effective verbal communication to assist customers with account setup and inquiries.
    • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify issues and provide effective solutions.
    • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in customer information and account setup processes.
