Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required : Sibanye-Stillwater Guard Vacancy
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Medical Fitness: Must be declared medically fit to work in the environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination conducted at the Sibanye-Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
- Security Clearance: Successful candidates must undergo thorough security screening and clearance.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.
- Firearm Competency: Must possess a firearm competency certificate issued by the South African Police Service (SAPS).
- PSIRA Certification: A valid Grade C Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) registration is mandatory.
- Minimum Education: Candidates must have completed NQF Level 2 (Grade 10).
- Experience: A minimum of four years of experience in a high-risk security environment.

- Tactical Firearm Training Certification

Key Responsibilities of a Sibanye-Stillwater Guard Vacancy
1. Security and Asset Protection
- Monitor access control points to ensure only authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors enter the premises.
- Conduct routine patrols and surveillance of the site to deter unauthorized access and prevent security breaches.
- Utilize CCTV monitoring systems and other security technologies to enhance asset protection.
2. Employee and Visitor Safety
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with security regulations.
- Provide first-line response in case of incidents, disturbances, or criminal activities.
- Assist in crowd control and emergency response measures during crises.
3. Access and Egress Management
- Verify employee identification and ensure compliance with security clearance protocols.
- Conduct thorough searches of personnel and vehicles entering or exiting restricted areas.
- Prevent unauthorized transportation of prohibited items, materials, or company property.
4. Reporting and Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents and submit reports to the relevant department.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and legal regulations to ensure compliance with safety standards.
