    • Ideal: Over a year’s experience in client service within the banking or retail sector, with proven sales and customer interaction skills.
  • Qualifications:
    • Minimum: Grade 12 National Certificate or Vocational equivalent.
    • Additional qualifications: A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, or a related field will be beneficial, as well as certifications in Banking or Finance.
  • Knowledge:
    • Basic understanding of financial calculations.
    • Familiarity with customer service environments, especially in retail or banking.
    • Ideal: In-depth knowledge of Capitec’s products and services, as well as familiarity with internal business processes and organizational policies.

Essential Skills for Success

To excel as a Service Consultant, you should possess the following skills:

  • Communication skills: Clear, concise, and friendly communication with clients.
  • Interpersonal skills: The ability to manage relationships effectively and handle client interactions professionally.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in basic computer programs, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
