About the Role

The Clerk position plays a vital role in supporting the Fleet Management and warehouse operations of Sibanye-Stillwater. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing stock, processing documentation, maintaining system accuracy, and ensuring that all warehouse activities comply with safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards.

This role requires attention to detail, accountability, and the ability to work effectively with systems such as SAP, Coupa, and other inventory management platforms. It also involves physical warehouse activities, making medical fitness a requirement.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • At least 1 year of warehousing experience
  • Proven computer literacy, including MS Office
  • Ability to work on enterprise systems such as SAP and Coupa
  • Medically fit to work in the designated business area

  • Strong understanding of and adherence to warehouse safety procedures

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The appointed Clerk will be responsible for a wide range of operational and administrative duties, including but not limited to:

Safety, Health, and Compliance

  • Actively promote a safe and healthy working environment
  • Ensure full compliance with SHE standards and company policies
  • Participate in risk assessments and implement corrective actions where required

Inventory and Materials Management

  • Maintain and update Materials Management data accurately
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages and reduce redundant or obsolete stock
  • Conduct quarterly stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
  • Perform bin inspections and ensure correct binning practices
  • Preserve stock according to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards

Warehouse Operations

  • Process stock reservations and STO approvals
  • Pick, issue, and record stock accurately using approved systems
  • Conduct stock transfers between locations
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in all store areas

Receiving and Documentation

  • Receive and inspect delivered goods against purchase orders
  • Identify and report delivery non-conformances to the supervisor
  • Create Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs) and scan supporting documentation
  • File all issuing, STO, and receiving documentation correctly for audit purposes
